The study "Less-than-truckload networks - The European market for network based cross border goods flows" offers an objective view of the transnational European LTL goods flows based on scientifically established analyses. It gives an overview about demand and supply of the European LTL market. Its contents are addressed to fit needs of logistics service providers, industry and commerce as well as consultants, market observers and interested readers.
The study researches the tonnage potentials of the most important international trade lanes and reveals which goods flows and which back load probabilities can be expected in LTL transportation. Furthermore, detailed industry profiles for five industrial sectors are part of the content ("chemicals/pharmaceuticals", "industrial goods", "food", "electronic devices", "other industries") as well as country profiles. The performance capacity of European countries in respect of LTL networks criteria is analyzed with indicators like network density, intensity of competition and the labour cost situation (and others). In addition with the day-to-day business trend discussion the report is aimed at answering the questions that the market players are facing.
